Kroll and Mencken wirte about the same topic with similar views but in completely different ways. Mencken is all about logos persuasion sharing the facts about the death penalty and why the process should be changed. He isn't totally against the death penalty but against ho long it takes to happen. He supports his claim with many facts and logic behind why the process is wrong, on the other hand Krolls essay is a story  that is all pathos and a first hand account. He shares his emotions and others emotions from every view in thr process of the death penalty. He isn't totally against the death penalty just against the cruel process. He is really able to get his point across in his opinion and is much more effective than menckin in persuadinf the audience.

This song is about America and the social structure and pyramid of it.

The theme of this song is that in America the greed y government is on top and the poor true heroes and their families are at the bottom.

The audience is supposed to think about how this really happens and how the government is on top not really supporting the people and even celebrities are below them.

I believe the theme of this song is war and how soldiers are fighting for their country and the fate of their people  and their futures. This can be supported by the lyrics where it says " They;re just humans with wives and children" Just how soldiers are everyday people with families and it says- "theirs is ti win if it kills them" and then, "it will kill them". This talks about how soldiers fight to win even if they die and they eventually will die for their cause in some way or another., and finally "forging for the future but to sacrifice their lives" supports how soldiers fightingin a war and winning or losing decides the future for their country.

John F. Kennedy speech- fallacies

Quote- Let both sides unite to heed n all corners of the earth the command of is Isaiah--to "undo the heavvy burdens.. and let the opressed go free.

The type of fallacy that this quote commits is appeal to faith.
It commits this fallacy because it refers to Isaiah a prophet in the bibl appealing to the christian faith.

A speech that commits this many fallacies is able to get away with it because in this case or coutry at this time was very Christian based and pretty much everyone was christian and agreed with the words of the bible, so it made it easy for JFDK to refer to it without any conflict.

Overt message- Duck and cover when in danger of an atomic bomb

Covert message- Always do what the civil say, they're there to protect you.

I believe there is no propoganda in this video. It is informative video on how to be protected and safe when the atomic bomb comes. There wasn't much of a covert message, just information on how and where to duck and cover.

Overt message- The overt message is that oil is used  for so many helpful things, and without it and competition we couldn't function. (oil and competition are good)

Covert message- The covert message, I believe is that as American people /america is great and the best country to live in.

It is propoganda  because it uses an overty message and a covert message through rhetoric and persuasion to  tell the people.

Covert message-The covert message is to get the American people to support the troops and the war.

The disparity in the two that make it propoganda by getting us to support the war and troopss through the message on the picture.
